Ever Familiar is an on-device assistant. Chat, memory, and most tools stay on your phone. We do not use analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or telemetry SDKs. Optional features (Google Play purchases, cloud sign-in, or an API key you paste for another AI provider) only send data when you choose those features.
The app stores the following locally (SQLite and app files). It is not sent to Willow River Automation unless a section below applies:
Android backup of app data is disabled. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.
If you paste an API key so the assistant can talk to another AI service, that key is stored in Android Keystore on your device. It is not written to SQLite, shared preferences as plaintext, or our servers. Requests then go to the base URL you configure (for example an OpenAI-compatible endpoint). Willow River Automation does not receive that traffic.
If you sign in, a session token is also kept in Keystore on the device.
The optional one-time unlock (Flows and an API key for another AI provider) is processed by Google Play as product adv_lifetime. There are no subscriptions. We receive a purchase confirmation so we can unlock those features. We do not receive your payment card details.

You can export or delete cloud account data from Settings. Step-by-step deletion instructions are at Delete account. Deleting the cloud account does not erase the assistant data that remains on the phone.
If you report an assistant message, an excerpt and your reason are saved on the device. They are uploaded to our server only if you are signed in, so we can review the report. We do not log ordinary conversation content.
On-device models may download over HTTPS when you use that feature. Download uses network state (for example Wi-Fi checks). Files are verified before use. Sideloading a model does not require our servers.
Ever Familiar is not directed at children under 13 and is not offered as a children’s product.
Local data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall. Cloud account data is kept while the account exists, then removed when you delete the account. Support email is kept as long as needed to respond.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected at this URL and in the Play Store listing.
